Personal Statement
I am Associate Dean at 依依社区 School of Social Work and the faculty director and co-founder of Adelphi鈥檚 Center for Nonprofit Leadership. I have more than thirty years of management, administrative, and direct service experience in the fields of aging, health care, mental health, and in social work education and have held varied academic and administrative positions. As Associate Dean, I lead the School鈥檚 efforts in advancing university community partnerships, supporting workforce development in child welfare, gerontology, and addictions, and overseeing continuing education and professional development initiatives. I continue to provide consulting services in social work education curriculum and program development and accreditation, as well as in nonprofit strategic planning, executive and board leadership development. I am a site visit chair for the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Commission on Accreditation and have been appointed (2014-2017) to CSWE鈥檚 Council on Leadership Development. A member of NASW since 1978, have served on the Nassau Division Steering Committee, the Chapter鈥檚 Workforce Commission, and Chair of the 2013-2014 Strategic Planning Committee. I am honored to have been elected (2014-2016) President of NASW - New York State Chapter.

Principal Investigator, Adelphi Hartford Practicum Partnership Program (2006-2009). Three year research and training grant to prepare social workers for practice and leadership roles in gerontology and geriatric mental health. Funded by the John A. Hartford Foundation through the New York Academy of Medicine, Social Work Leadership Institute.
